Privacy Policy for gimme ai
This page explains what gimme ai knows about you, why it keeps that information, how long it stays and what you can do about it at any moment.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
1. Who we are
gimme ai operates the website at gimme-ai.run and the companion chat service reached through it. Where this policy says "we", "us" or "gimme ai", it means the operator of that service. Where it says "you", it means anyone who visits the site or holds an account.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy covers the public pages of gimme ai and the chat product behind them. It does not cover independent websites you reach through outbound links, app stores, payment providers or social platforms, each of which publishes its own notice.
3. Adults only
gimme ai is intended solely for people who have reached the age of majority where they live, and in no case under 18. By using the service you confirm you meet that requirement. Accounts we believe belong to minors are closed and their data deleted.
4. Information you give us directly
When you create an account we ask for an email address and a password. You may optionally add a display name, a date of birth for age assurance, and preferences describing the kind of companion and conversation you want. Nothing beyond email and password is required to use gimme ai.
5. Chat content
Messages you send, images you request, voice notes you play and the settings you apply to a companion are stored so the conversation can continue where you left it. Chat content is linked to your account and is not published, shared with other users or sold.
6. Technical information
Our servers record ordinary connection data: IP address, approximate region derived from it, browser and operating system, referring page, timestamps and error traces. This is used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults.
7. Payment information
If you upgrade, payment is handled by an external processor. gimme ai receives confirmation of a successful charge, the plan purchased, the billing country and the last digits of the instrument. We never receive or store your full card number.
8. Cookies and similar files
We set a small number of cookies and local storage entries. Some are strictly necessary — keeping you signed in, remembering your age confirmation, protecting forms from automated abuse. Others are optional and measure how the pages of gimme ai are used.
9. Why we process your data
We process data to run and secure the service, to keep companion conversations coherent over time, to handle payments and refunds, to answer support requests, to prevent fraud and abuse, to meet legal duties and to improve how gimme ai works.
10. Legal grounds
Depending on where you live, our grounds are: performance of the contract you enter when you open an account; our legitimate interests in a secure and functioning service; your consent for optional analytics and marketing; and compliance with the law.
11. Consent and withdrawal
Where we rely on consent you may withdraw it at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place lawfully, and does not remove features that depend on strictly necessary data.
12. Companion memory
Companions on gimme ai retain a summary of what you told them so they can refer back to it. You control this: you can view what a companion remembers, edit an entry that is wrong, or clear the memory entirely and start the relationship fresh.
13. Automated processing
Replies, image selection and voice output are produced automatically. Automated checks also flag content that breaches our rules. These processes do not make decisions with legal effects on you; account closures for serious breaches are reviewed by a person.
14. Service providers
We use vetted providers for hosting, content delivery, email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring and customer support. They act on our instructions, are bound by confidentiality terms, and may use your data only to provide the service we bought.
15. International transfers
Our infrastructure and providers may be located outside your country. Where data leaves your region we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms, such as standard contractual clauses, together with technical protections in transit and at rest.
16. Security measures
Traffic to gimme ai is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Access to production systems is limited to staff who need it, logged, and protected by multi-factor authentication. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise.
17. Retention periods
Account records are kept while your account is open. Chat content is kept until you delete it or close the account. Billing records are kept for the period tax law requires. Security logs are kept for a short rolling window and then discarded.
18. Deleting your chats
You may delete an individual message, a whole conversation, or a companion's memory at any time from inside the product. Deletions remove the content from live systems immediately and from routine backups as those backups rotate out.
19. Closing your account
Closing your account removes your profile, preferences and conversations. We retain only what we must keep for accounting, fraud prevention or legal defence, and we keep that in the narrowest form that still serves the purpose.
20. Your rights
Subject to local law you may request access to your data, correction of inaccuracies, deletion, restriction of processing, portability in a machine-readable form, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also object to direct marketing at any time.
21. How to exercise your rights
Write to the contact address below from the email on your account. We answer within one month and may extend that once for complex requests, telling you why. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity before releasing data.
22. Marketing messages
We send service emails such as receipts, security alerts and policy updates because they are part of the contract. Promotional email is sent only if you opt in, and every promotional message carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
23. Analytics choices
Optional measurement can be declined in the cookie banner or turned off later in settings. Declining does not reduce the features available to you; it only limits the aggregated statistics we use to see which parts of gimme ai people actually use.
24. Children's data
gimme ai is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will verify and remove it promptly, along with any content associated with it.
25. Third-party links
Some pages link to external sites and payment pages we do not control. Following such a link takes you outside gimme ai, and the privacy practices of the destination apply from that point. Read their notices before providing information.
26. Data incidents
If a breach occurs that is likely to create a risk to you, we notify the competent supervisory authority within the statutory deadline and inform affected users directly, describing what happened, what we did and what you should do.
27. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the service develops. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes are announced by email or an in-product notice before they take effect, so you have time to review them.
28. Contact and complaints
Privacy questions and requests go to privacy@gimme-ai.run. If you are unhappy with our answer you may complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence; that right stands regardless of anything in this policy.
